            FORGIVE

             Episode 11

Soon they arrived at the university hospital where I was waiting for their return so I could go and meet the lecturer. Afya moved with some sort of aggression towards me as soon as she got down from the car. “How could you do such a thing? Forgive, you know what Gilbert meant to me. “My friend don’t even go there? What have you seen me done to Gilbert? Was I the one who twisted his neck? Why are you barking like a dog?”, I asked angrily. The heaviest slap landed on my face from Afya. There the fight started. I punched her in the face and pushed her hard to the floor. I made her understand that I was actually coming from a village. She was very lucky people around came to separate us. I would’ve killed her. “What the hell is happening here? Are you people insane?”, Gilbert’s father asked with a very loud voice. “Which of you is my son’s girlfriend? Answer me before I hand you over to the police”. Gilbert’s father asked. Myself and Afya got scared because of the manner in which he asked the question so we remained silent. “Sir if it is Afya then I wish you ask the doctors to test your son for HIV because that evil girl is HIV positive”, Mr Dennis said even as he was in the handcuffs. “Dad what did you just say? Afya is HIV positive? I turned to her. Afya is this true?”, I asked surprisingly. “Hmm Forgive, do I look like an HIV person to you? Ask your sugar daddy how he managed to know that I am HIV positive”. Afya said with an innocent voice. “I said who has been sleeping with my son?”  Gilbert’s father roared. “What is it? Is it that we’ve not seen your son’s type before? It even pained me that I gave your son the opportunity to come close to me. Look I deal with expensive people”, Afya said and called Action to start her car and drive her away from there. “Bring back my car”, Mr Dennis said. “Dad you mean you bought a car for Afya? I’m very disappointed in you. How could you? That means you have been sleeping with her! Oh my goodness. My aunty must hear about this”, I said with tears. Mr. Dennis was just looking straight into my face in shame.
“Honey please let’s ask the doctor to check Gilbert’s HIV status as soon as possible.” Gilbert’s mother suggested. “Yes I think you are right. Officer please go and lock this man in your cell. We will come and deal with him later.” Gilbert’s father instructed. The police took Mr. Dennis away to their station.
Gilbert’s mother took me away to a different place in order for me to calm down even though she wasn’t sure of my side of the whole issue. Afya went straight to her sugar daddy lecturer’s place. Her face got swollen when she got to the lecturer. “What must be pursuing my queen by this time of the day? It is strange for one to see a nocturnal animal in a bright day light. My dear what is the problem? Were you involved in any form of accident for you to have your face like this?” the lecturer asked. “Sir, Forgive did this to me. She actually called some gangs to beat me up when I went back to see Gilbert at the hospital”, she lied. “What! Forgive, your friend? But why will she do that?”, the lecturer asked. “She is just jealous because I’m going out with you so she started putting up strange behaviours which led to this”. Afya lied again. “Oh really! Do you know she was at my office this afternoon asking for money for her sick father?”, the lecturer revealed. “Oh I see, so she has come this far.” Afya said in dismay. “Hmm I see. You don’t worry I will deal with her for you. Put yourself and use this money to treat yourself”, the lecturer said and giving her some money. She thanked the lecturer and left to her house.
Back at the hospital
The blood sample of Gilbert was collected and tested for HIV but to the glory of God, he was negative. This revelation made Gilbert confused about what Mr. Dennis said about Afya but the issue was, despite the fact that Afya loves Gilbert, she never slept with Gilbert without a condom. Whenever there was no condom, it meant no sex. Her defence was that she didn’t want to get pregnant as she was still in school but the fact is she didn’t want to infect him with the virus. They do kiss, hold each other, eat from the same bowl, swim in the same water but that could not be a medium to transfer the virus. Not withstanding, kissing can be a high risk but until there is a cut in the mouth of both parties were blood can go into each others system, the virus cannot be transmitted. Saliva exchange does not cause HIV.
Gilbert’s mother thanked her stars that her son was negative. I was equally more than happy.
Gilbert’s mother seemed to like me because of how I was concerned with their son’s health. They gave me some money and asked me to be checking up on Gilbert as they go to the police station to file the case against Mr. Dennis. At the time they got there, they were told the officer in charge of those cases was not around so they had to come back the following day. They were coming from Nsawam which was not too far from Accra so they left Gilbert in my care and went home to prepare and come back the following day.
Back at Tema General Hospital
The issue of what happened to Mr. Dennis went viral so they needed to test my aunt for HIV again. Still the result remained negative. That was really unbelievable.
In the evening just as planned, I was still thinking of making my grades so I went to my hostel to freshen up and dress in one of my hot dresses and went to the venue to meet the lecturer for the money. I got there and he was no where to be found. The bad aspect was that I failed to take his can so I couldn’t call him. I waited and waited till midnight so I needed to give up. I went to sleep and at  dawn, woke up and went to check on Gilbert. The surgery was done so he was just undergoing the wound healing process. Later in the day I went back to the man in the Students Records Department to ask for more grace periods. I went and he directed me to go and see Afya’s sugar daddy lecturer that I was to meet the previous day. He said he was the chief exams officer and he had discussed everything with him so I should go and he would tell me a good news. “what is the meaning of all these wahala? Sir, if you are not ready to help me directly then let me fail the paper. After all am not the only one to resit the paper.” I said to him and left the office.
Mr. Dennis was processed for court and was fined an amount of Ghc100.000.00 for assault and disturbing the university community. He was to pay all medical expenses for Gilbert in addition. Failure to pay the money, he  will serve ten years in prison with hard labour. The university disciplinary committee also invited myself and Afya to face them for oral examination and punishment for disturbing the university community with our fight.
Will you believe it if I should tell you that I got pregnant too? Let’s talk about that in the next episode.

            FORGIVE

               Episode 10

Truly, my aunty was at the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit. The doctor said there was no time to waste so they checked his blood level failing to check if it was clean due to the urgency and even though it was not very enough to donate, they applied their medical policy. Save the life and treat any other condition that comes after. They transfused his blood for Mrs. Rosemond who happens to be my aunt. To the glory of God, her condition stabilised after receiving the blood. Mr. Dennis felt dizzy after donating the blood so he was also made to rest in one of the staff rest rooms. He felt very weak because he spent too much energy in sexual activities over the previous few days. He introduced himself to the staffs as the branch manager to ADB hence the preferential treatment. Some nurses even fell for him because they saw him to be a rich man.
There was this student nurse who was assigned to keep eye on Mr. Dennis so that in case of anything, she will provide. The student nurse not to tell lies was much beautiful than all the ladies Mr. Dennis met in his life till that day. From look of things, this lady was equally a bad girl. She has this sexy looking dimple  with a broad face which normally put men off gear.  She came into the room where Dennis was and asked if he was feeling better. Mr. Dennis saw that smile and couldn’t take his eyes off the lady. “yeah…. yeah am fine. I hope my wife is also fine now?” he asked. “yes please she is fine.” the student nurse responded. “can I know your name?” Dennis asked. “Am Nana Akua.” she said. “Nana Akuuuuyaa! Oh my word, you are such a beautiful damsel. Can I have your contact number?” Dennis requested. “OK sir 02XXXXXX46” she mentioned it as Mr. Dennis dialled onto his phone. Mr Dennis gave her one of his complementary cards and told her he will call her later for a chat. “Nana Akua, wow in fact God is more than a designer. Just imagine this beauty.”🤔 he said to himself as the nurse left the room.

The secret untold was that Nana Akua was a sister to Gilbert who was on admission at the university hospital. Gilbert was at the university as she was at the Nursing college and was just there for her clinicals. This lady equally loves money so seeing Mr. Dennis as a rich man, was ready to render any service to him.
Soon, Mr. Dennis became OK and went to see the doctor to find out what brought his wife to the hospital.

Doctor: your wife was brought here bleeding from her genitals profusely. Upon investigation we realised she was pregnant but the issue is that there may be complications with regards to the pregnancy. We need to refer her from this hospital to Korle-bu if not she might experience miscarriage and in the wise, lose the pregnancy. The young man (the gardener) who brought her said your wife was trying suicide because she felt you were cheating on her.”
Mr Dennis: But Doctor, I am not getting something clear over here. Do you say my wife got pregnant without letting me know of it? How did that happen?”
Doctor: Please I have some clients to attend to so can you please excuse me? We can talk about this later.
Mr. Dennis: I don’t think you are driving me away from your office. Look, I am the branch manager of ADB so don’t see me as just anybody. Accord me with that respect.
Doctor: Sorry sir if you got offended. The fact is that I can’t answer how come your wife got pregnant. I’ve just answered the question you came with and I’ve also given you what next we need to do. The nurses are working on the referral note. The hospital will provide you with the ambulance but you need to pay for it.
(Nana Akua entered the consulting room with a note from the ward and gave to the doctor.)
Mr. Dennis: Doc, this your nurse is very beautiful, heerrr just look at the dimple.
Doctor: Sorry sir, you are in an office. Eeerrm, this note is coming from the ward, am sorry to tell you that the unexpected has happened. Your wife has lost the pregnancy so there would be no need for the referral. I’m very sorry to announce that to you.
Mr. Dennis: oh God! So why have you decided to punish me like this? This pregnancy that I’ve been waiting for, for decades, you gave it to me and less than a second you took it away. Why? I won’t spare Rosemond for this, why should she try committing suicide whilst carrying my child? I will deal with her. (Tears were all over his face)
Doctor: Sir please I want to attend to Client’s waiting outside so can you please wait outside?
Mr. Dennis: Please last thing. Doctor please I want to know my HIV status can you help me out?
Doctor: (took a paper and wrote some note on it.) Take this to the lab they will tell you what to do.
Mr. Dennis took the note and went to the Lab and was redirected to the ART unit. Over there he was told to go through a pre-counselling session but he said that was not needed so all he needs is the test. The therapist told him it was a standard procedure so he shouldn’t worry and that it won’t keep long. He was given a questionnaire to complete and was later counselled. His blood sample was taken and was asked to wait outside as they processed the blood to get him the results.

Back on campus
I was at the university hospital trying to be sure Gilbert was fine. I never knew who to call for help. I tried Afya’s number but she didn’t pick up. Soon the doctor sent for me. He told me that Gilbert will be fine just that he will need to undergo some surgery in his neck if not he may find it difficult turning his neck. The university authorities called his parents and both parents arrived at the hospital to see their son. After hearing everything, his father said if I don’t provide Mr. Dennis they would call for my arrest. They also gave the go-ahead to the doctor for the surgery to be done. His mother was rather thanking me for bringing her son to the hospital early enough to avoid further complications.
We were standing there when I received some SMS from the man in the students records department who was to manipulate my results for me. The SMS reads “come to office now”  I just couldn’t imagine what he needed me for so I asked permission to go and see him. Gilbert’s father warned me not to step out because if I do he would hand me over to the police. I got frightened and remained.

Soon Afya also came to meet us at the hospital. Gilbert’s father said we should both fetch Mr. Dennis if not he would jail both of us. “Mr. Man, I don’t care who you are. Do I resemble the man that was trying to kill your son? I’m not your slave for you to be commanding me? Secondly, if your son needs me, don’t he know my house? I beg no one should add to my troubles.” Afya spoke rudely to Gilbert’s parents. My mouth was just wide open when she was rattling those words. “Afya I know Mr. Dennis came to your house when he finished the mess, where is he?” I asked her.
“By now he would be at the Tema General Hospital because he was called that his wife was rushed there. So chase him from there.” Afya said. Gilbert’s parents went for police escort and headed towards Tema. They pleaded with Afya to follow them since she would be able to recognise him. The university was also interested in the case so they added a representative to bring Dennis to book. Gilbert’s mother said I should take care of Gilbert as they go and arrest Dennis.
After they left, I quickly rushed to the Student’s Record Department to see this man. “Forgive you had a referral in your Anatomy paper. The lecturer who takes this course can be very smart at times by verifying the results when they are posted to your portals so I will need about Ghc200.00 to change this for you. You have only three days to pay that money.” The man said. “Oh sir, am very dried up as at now is there nothing in place of the money?” I asked. “You know the deal but this time around, I want to be faithful to my wife. Am now a changed person.” he said. I felt very bad and don’t know what to do. Quickly, it occurred to me to try Afya’s sugar daddy lecturer to see if I can get the money from him. The unfortunate aspect is that Afya has given a share of the HIV virus to this lecturer but I had no idea. I left the records department and to the lecturers office. I explained to him that my father was dying and needed Ghc1000.00 to get treatment so I needed help from him. He said I should meet him at a joint on campus in the evening so that we talk more about that. I thanked him and went back to see Gilbert at the hospital.
The test result was ready and Mr. Dennis was called to the counselling room. “Sir, we have screened your blood but before I disclose the results to you, I will like to tell you that HIV is just like any other disease which anybody regardless of your class or status or even race can get. Knowing your status is the best option because with you knowing your status, you would know how best to take care of yourself and live a healthy life. You must also let your partner get tested but after you knowing your status, you need to come back in three months for a confirmatory test because at times the devices we use could give a wrong reading but on a more serious reason, it is after three months of getting the virus that it becomes very clear where you stand. The virus has an incubation period which can be noticed after this three months. Some of the signs you could see if you are positive includes but not limited to the following; night sweats, Recurring fever, diarrhea, unexplained fatigue, Weight loss, among others. We have medicines that can keep you and prolong your life span. Eat well, do more exercise and take your drugs regularly. Please this is your result. (handed a folded paper to Dennis)
He opened it and saw the shock of his life. (Boldly written *HIV+ positive*)

He got shocked and opened his mouth wide and tears started rolling down his cheeks. “This girl has finished me. Please was it my blood that was transfused to my wife? And was it treated before?” he asked with great disappointment and confusion all over his face. The counsellor encouraged him and told him it was best he knows his status and also asked him to come for a retest after three months.
“Afya has killed me finally. I’ve lost my baby and now going to be HIV positive for the rest of my life. Oh God!” 😭 he cried. He went out and stood by his car holding the note in his hands and with sorrow all over his face.
Soon, Gilbert’s parents with the police escort arrived at the hospital. They saw Mr. Dennis standing by his car crying. Afya who was among the people pointed at him that he was the man that twisted Gilbert’s neck. Unlucky for him, Gilbert’s father was a top shareholder at the bank Mr. Dennis was working so they both knew each other very well. “Mr. Dennis, I can’t believe it that you were the one behind this mess. Am sorry I can’t spare you. Officers, please arrest this man.” Gilbert father ordered. He remembered his daughter was doing her clinicals at that same hospital so he called and truly, Nana Akua came to meet her father and realised her parents were there to get Mr.  Dennis arrested. Her father told her their reason for coming and she told her father the interaction that went between she and Dennis. Afya saw that Mr. Dennis was holding some paper in his hands so she snatched it and read the HIV positive notice. “Hahahah sir, sorry oo. Welcome to my world. Next time know who to sleep with. Look at a full grown up man like you, instead of you helping your wife build your home, you are going about chasing after small girls. Make sure you go for your medicines every month if not you will die before me. Foolish man.” Afya said to Dennis as Dennis couldn’t control his tears. “My friend Bank managers don’t cry like a baby, you are disturbing the patients in this hospital.” Afya teased him the more. “Afya so this was deliberate. You will rot in hell I swear, he said with his hands in handcuffs. “What is happening here?” Nana Akua’s  mother asked. Afya told her that Dennis was HIV positive but yet wanted to sleep with her daughter. “Please let him rot in the jail he was threatening me with.” Afya said to the police.
As they were on their way coming to the university campus, Gilbert’s father asked. “Afya I heard you tell this man that he is welcome to your world. Have you been in such a situation before” Mr Dennis interrupted. “She is the one that gave me the HIV. She is positive and made me sleep with her. You evil lady.” “What! Are you serious?” Gilbert’s mother asked. “mum don’t mind him. He is a confused person.” Afya said. “So why did you do that to my son?” Gilbert’s father asked. “Because I found him sleeping with my daughter.” Dennis reported. “What! You mean Forgive was sleeping with my Gilbert?” Afya asked.
Soon they arrived at the university hospital where I was  waiting for their return so that I go and meet the lecturer. Afya moved with some sort of aggression towards me as soon as she got down from the car. “How could you do such a thing? Forgive, you know what Gilbert meant to me. “My friend don’t even go there? What have you seen me do to Gilbert? Was I the one who twisted his neck? Why are you barking like a dog?” I asked angrily. The heaviest slap landed on my face from Afya. There the fight started.
Matters arising.

            FORGIVE

               Episode 9

……….. “he has been on this drug but never told me of it until I chanced on it. I will kill this man.”  “oh sorry ma. I wish you take a test yourself first and see if you are safe.” the nurse suggested. The test was done and the result was negative. The good news too was that my aunt was also confirmed pregnant. Wow! The irony of life. “Nurse are you saying I am negative?” My aunty asked. “Yes madam you are Negative but I would like you to come back in three months time to do a confirmatory test.” the nurse said. “what confirmation again? Thank God am negative. I’m leaving that house as soon as I get there.” my aunt said. “Madam so who takes care of your pregnancy should you leave the house? Just be sure your husband is really positive before you take any action. My aunt agreed and also now experiencing a mixed feeling left the hospital. What she has been waiting on the Lord for, for several years has now been granted. She is pregnant but why at the time of the suspicion of her husband being HIV positive? She thanked the nurse and left. The pharmacy took care of her hospital bill since they were the root cause of why she was at the hospital. The lady who broke the news was dismissed from work. She lost her work and didn’t get her promised reward from my aunt too. She regretted her actions yet it was too late.
Mr. Dennis was home thinking where exactly his wife could be the whole day without picking any of his calls. “I can see this woman want to play along. We shall see who will get tired in this house.” he said to himself. Afya called him on phone and said she needed some money to buy fuel for the car. He assured her of the money later. He relaxed on the bed and was going through his phone when suddenly, he received a text message indicating a withdrawal of Ghc 5.000.00 which was made from his account three days ago. This was after he requested for his balance statement using his phone. “what! What’s the meaning of this? Who tempered with my account?” he asked himself in a confused and disturbed manner. His mind started racing from me to Afya and to my aunt as the suspects to this.
Soon, my aunt arrived at the house. She didn’t know which of the news to put up first so she decided to wait for a nice moment before breaking it to him. Mr. Dennis seeing his wife back to the house became angry. “Where the hell have you been the whole day and left me hungry? Oh I can see you want to be on your own. Before I get angry and do any worse thing in this house, tell me who went to cash out an amount of Ghc5,000.00 from my personal account?” he asked. “My aunt stood surprise acting like someone who knew nothing about what he was saying. Mr. Dennis didn’t say anything and went to take his cheque book and saw that one leaflet was removed and the drug was also not in the bag. He brought the whole bag outside and asked “who opened this bag and removed a leaflet from my cheque book. I also had something in this same bag, who took it?” he asked sounding furious. “Is this the thing you are asking for? “my aunt said removing the drug from her hand bag. “Now, tell me what you were using this drug for?” she asked. Mr. Dennis was standing aloof. “Forgive” with a slip of tongue he mentioned my name in place of his wife. “Since when has my name changed from Rosamond to Forgive? I won’t be surprised if she is the one who infected you with this deadly disease that you were hiding from me. You can always run but you can’t always hide. Why didn’t you tell me that you were HIV positive?” she asked the bitter question. Out of the blue, Dennis landed the most heaviest slap on my aunt’s face. “how dare you tell me I am HIV positive? Back to sender. Were you out of your senses before asking me this stupid question?” he asked angrily. My aunt fell straight to the ground with a dizzy face upon the slap. She spat out blood because she bit her tongue. She stood up very angry and carried the small flower pot in the Conner of the room and threw it on her husband. That was the very first time these two couples fought in their marriage life. “If you are not HIV positive then why should you be keeping HIV drug in bag? You wicked man. You went round sleeping with Forgive, have you seen the consequences. If you dare touch me again, I won’t spare you.” she said. “who told you this drug is for HIV positive people? Give the medicine to me and stop that illiteracy life.” “Don’t take me for a fool. I’m just coming from the hospital. I showed it to the nurses and they said it is used by HIV positive people. So what exactly do you have to say about this?” she asked. “you are not serious.” Mr. Dennis said and took the drug from the floor and went out. He went straight into his car and sped up to my hostel.
Very unfortunate on my part, Afya’s original boyfriend, Gilbert, was at my place to complain to me about how Afya has changed after getting her new car so I was only trying in my own way to make him understand that Afya was not best for him. In the process of talking to him, he fell for me and started showing arousal behaviours towards me. It had been long since Mr. Dennis visited to give me sex so I was equally ready for it. In no time, we found each other on my bed and thrusting each other. Because  Mr. Dennis was carrying some bitterness in his heart before moving out, He never prompted me before coming to the hostel. Unlucky for me, I didn’t lock the door, partly because I was not expecting anyone. Mr. Dennis opened the door only to see me sweating and moaning on top of Gilbert. 😳”what! Forgive, Jesus Christ. So this is what you do here?” I jumped off Gilbert and covered myself with my blanket. Gilbert quickly wear his boxers. Mr. Dennis walked towards him, held his neck and twisted  it. Gilbert fell unconscious. turning towards me “Now, tell me where Afya stays, I will deal with you later.” he asked. I remained silent because seeing Gilbert on the floor unconscious was ringing something in my head, that I might soon join him so I was scared. Dennis called Afya on phone and she picked. Afya at that time was with one of her sugar daddy lecturer. “Mr. Dennis am a little busy at the moment. Please let me call you back when am done.” Afya picked and hanged up. Dennis called back and this time around it was switched off. “what the hell is happening? Can’t you hear me asking you to give me Afya’s house address?” speaking to me. “OK, please she stays at Madina……… ” I gave him the direction. He didn’t say anything and left to where I directed him to. I called others for help and Gilbert was rushed to the university hospital. One of the guys who helped carry Gilbert into the taxi knew him to be Afya’s boyfriend so sent a text message to Afya on both of her lines that this was what was going on. In no time, Afya and the lecturer came to see Gilbert at the hospital. Luckily, the doctor assured us that he would be fine so we should just keep praying for him. All this while, Mr. Dennis was waiting for Afya to return to the house. “What happened to Gilbert? Afya asked me. “My aunt’s husband was the one who twisted his neck when he came to see him at my place. He came there to look for you so when Dennis came he thought he was my boyfriend.” I narrated. “You mean Dennis did this to him? Okay! I know how to deal with him.” she said and told the lecturer that they would meet later. Afya called Mr. Dennis and he said he was waiting at her place. Action drove on top speed because that was the instruction Afya gave him. Lol. Who is more angry than the fellow? Afya dared not to spare Dennis, Mr. Dennis dared not to forgive Afya should she confirm her HIV status. Afya got to the house and saw Dennis standing beside his car. “Why did you twist Gilbert’s neck? Tell me if not I will call for your arrest now.” Afya threatened. “How dare you question me. Why did you chose to sleep with me when you knew you were HIV positive? Tell me if not I will skin you alive. Even what that boy went through would have been better than yours.” Mr. Dennis also threatened.  Afya got shocked with the question. “you said what? Me, HIV positive?” she asked as if she was not aware. Mr. Dennis are you saying you gave me HIV?” “Don’t try to play smart here. What is the use of this drug? Why were you eager to have them when I told you it was with me? Speak.” Mr. Dennis said loudly and angrily. “Sir please bring your voice down. I can explain.” Afya with a very sober voice said. “explain what! Afya what do you have to explain? Tell me it is not true. Afya please tell me you are not HIV positive. Please.” Tears flooded Mr. Dennis eyes as he waited impatiently for Afya to say she was not positive. (Afya also in tears) “Mr. Dennis am very sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you and besides, sorry to tell you that yes I am positive and that is my drug.”  Dennis lost control and sat on the sandy floor. “oh my God! I’m finished. Who do I tell this? God why me? Afya you’ve killed me. Oh Afyaaaaaa!” Mr. Dennis was shedding tears like a baby. “But sir please I wish you go and get yourself tested at the hospital. You may not have it.” Afya advised. “To hell with your advice you devil.” he said.
Soon, Mr. Dennis’ phone rang and it was a new number. He didn’t pick on the first two counts but did on the third. “sir please your wife is in a critical condition now at the hospital. We need blood for him right away. We also found out that she is pregnant so be quick if not we might lose her and the pregnancy. I am speaking from Tema General Hospital.” the call ended. 😳 “My wife? How come? Pregnant? How?” In a confused state, asked countless questions and off he  sped to the hospital. His blood was compatible to that of my aunt so he was ready to donate his own blood when he gets there. Truly, my aunty was at the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit. The doctor said there was no time to waste so they checked his blood level failing to check if it was clean due to the urgency and even though it was not very enough to donate, they applied their medical policy. Save the life and treat any other condition that comes after.

               FORGIVE

               Episode 8

Surprisingly, Mr. Dennis came with his car and another BMW to the venue. The promise was fulfilled. Mr. Dennis handed over the keys of the BMW car to Afya as her birthday present. I guess that was the happiest day of her life. They spent the whole night at the club and  had more skin to skin sex without protection. At dawn, they both got ready and because Afya doesn’t know how to drive, Mr. Dennis called his chief mechanic to send over one of his guys to come and drive Afya home. In no time, a very nice looking guy surfaced as the one to drive Afya. Mr. Dennis ushered Afya like a queen to the car. They kissed over there before the guy finally drove Afya away. “I can’t believe this. I came here in a taxi and am going home being driven in my own BMW wow! Life is full of fun, God please don’t let me die quickly oo. ” she said to herself. After saying that she just remembered she hadn’t taken her anti retroviral drugs. She checked her bag and oh the drug was no where to be found. She brought out everything from her bag but still the drug was not inside. She went into deep thinking. “where might I have left this drug? ” she asked herself. “eeeeeaah! Driver please, please turn this car back to the hotel. I left something there.” she commanded as she remembered that the drug might have fallen at the time she was bringing out a new cloth to put on after taking her bath at the hotel.
Mr. Dennis after seeing off Afya to her car, returned to the room to do some one or two things before leaving to the office since he had no plans of going home before later leaving for work. As he was sitting on the hotel bed going through some documents, his eyes fell on the drug in the container on the bed. He got attracted and took the drug. He has no idea what Lamivudine could be used for. He opened the container and saw the tablets and was sure Afya left it. He picked it and placed it inside his bag and in no time, checked out of the hotel premises to work. Afya arrived not too long after Mr. Dennis left. She went to the receptionist and told  her she left something in the room they lodged so she should help by opening the door for her. The receptionist didn’t deny her the opportunity. Afya checked every Conner of the room but the drug was nowhere to be found. “Jesus! am sure this man has taken it. This was the very place I left the thing. Oh my God how do I explain myself to this man? ” Afya lamented in the presence of the receptionist. “Sorry madam can I please know what it was? ” the receptionist asked. “Don’t worry your head to know. Thank you, I will be going.” She said and walked out of the room. She, walked very frustrated to the car. “Madam please is everything okay? The driver asked. “My friend were you asked to drive or to be asking questions that do not concern you? Look forward and drive me home.” Afya shut him down. “Madam am sorry don’t vex. Was just trying to show concern.” he said. Didn’t I just ask you to keep quiet and drive? What is your name anyway? ” Afya asked. “Small madam, my parents call me Cornelius but everybody knows me as Action. Just say Action and I will respond. He said. “funny you. I beg stop that plenty talk and drive on.” she said. Still thinking about what to do, thought of calling Mr. Dennis to  be sure if the drug was with him but she was equally scared because she didn’t know how to go about it.
Back at the office, Mr. Dennis also remembered he planned of calling Afya to inquire of her the usage and purpose of the medicine.  “I think it’s right I ask of it from a Chemical seller.” he said to himself. The next thing was Afya calling. “Hello sweetie, I hope you enjoyed the drive in your new car?” he asked as soon as he picked the call. “Oh yeah! I really enjoyed it. Thank you for fulfilling your promise.” she answered. “Don’t mention it dear. I will do more than that for you. I really enjoyed that Watermelon. 🍉 You left your medicine on the bed today. I just gave it to one of my staffs to check what it’s being used for because I want to get some for your friend. Am sure that makes you so sweet.” he ignorantly said. “what! Has the person left already? Please let me tell you myself.” Afya said with almost a racing heart. “but why do you sound so tensed like that. The person is yet to go so tell me.” he said. “It protects ladies from getting pregnant when they engage in unprotected sex. Are you okay now?” she asked. “Really dear, Ok I understand but please don’t take this again. Look at my age and I cannot boast of a child. Please I need a child and I will reward you heavily should you become pregnant for me. I will keep this drug for you.” Mr. Dennis said. “I’m already on my way to your work side now. Please give it to me let me keep it at my place.” Afya pleaded. “Am even about going out so forget about that medicine.” he said and hanged up. I felt very tensed up.
Instead of Afya celebrating her new car, she was rather sad because should Mr. Dennis mishandle the medicine, someone might see it and alert him. People who saw Afya coming home with the new car became very happy for her but she seemed not to be in a good mood. When asked, she said she was over joyed and that was how she could show it. After some small celebration with some few friends, she asked Action to drive her to the hospital for a new set of drugs. One thing about Afya is that she understands the need to keep on taking the HIV drugs very serious. Once you know your status and start treatment, your symptoms will take very long to progress into AIDS. Note that HIV is not AIDS. HIV is a virus that causes AIDS but not in itself AIDS. With continual intake of the drug, it helps to reduce your viral load to the extent that you can be tested again later and the test kit can declare you negative simply because the viral load reduced drastically.
Afya went for her drug and later went into agreement with Action to become her personal driver. Action was very happy to get himself a new  job from a very pretty lady. Afya made him to drive her all over campus that day. Her last stop was at my hostel. “Forgive where are you? Come and let me drive you around.” She said loudly when she came out of the car at my hostel. I ran out of the room only to see   Afya in BMW. “wow! My girl don do am oo. Afya are you saying this is your new car? Unbelievable. But you never mentioned any car deal to me. How come? ” I asked surprisingly. “Come on baby, I always do tell you to use what you have to get what you want. This car is my birthday present from one of my new found mugu. Bab, hop in let my driver take us around town.” So, I also went to dress up jubilantly and joined her out.
After work, Mr. Dennis got home very tired. He didn’t waste much time before going to bed and snoring like an articulator truck. He just left his things on the floor before going to bed. My aunty came to take the things and placed them at their rightful places. My aunty, later seeing that her husband was fast asleep decided to steal his cheque book and sign some money to get her shop running. She knows her husband’s code to the bag so she easily opened the bag only to see the drug in the bag. She took the cheque and signed Ghc 5,000.00 and took the drug and hid it among her clothes. Mr. Dennis was far asleep in his own house and but was being robed by his own wife. How useless humans are when they die. Just simple sleep you couldn’t detect something was happening around you, how much more when you are dead?
My. Aunty equally didn’t know what the drug was used for so. She was thinking it was an aphrodisiac that her husband used to stimulate his performance in bed so decided to hide it and see if he could still perform without the drug. First thing in the morning, my aunty went to withdraw the money and deposited some into her personal account and used the rest to order for stock. Very unfortunately, that was the only money left in her husband’s account because of the car he bought. Later  that evening my aunty availed herself for sex of which Mr. Dennis left no Stone unturned. This made my aunty to have a change of mind that her husband was not using the drug for sexual performance but rather a different thing so decided to do her own investigations.

She sent the drug to a pharmacy shop for them to tell her what type of drug it was. “Madam please why do you want to know what the drug is being used for? “the pharmacist asked. “It was added to my medicines the last time I went to the hospital so just want you to tell me the use. ” my aunty said. “Well, sorry I don’t think I will be in the position of telling you the use. Your doctor should have educated you on it before giving it to you. So go back to the doctor, he would tell you in a more professional way. Thank you.” the pharmacist refused to tell her. There was this lady who had “Okro lips” at the pharmacy shop. Hearing that her boss refused to tell the woman the use of the drug and because she wanted to be seen that she knows a lot went to meet my aunty secretly and revealed the use. “Madam what will you give me if I tell you the use of the drug? ” she asked. “Anything you ask for. ” My aunty replied. “OK I need Ghc 100.00 only.” she said. “OK. Deal.” My aunty eagerly said. “This drug is given to HIV positive people. So probably you tested positive that’s why they gave it to you.”😳 “what! HIV?” My aunty said and immediately collapsed. The lady now started shouting for help. People came around and sent my aunty to the hospital for treatment. She gained consciousness at the hospital. She was told how it happened and there she told the nurse that her husband was HIV positive and never made her know. “he has been on this drug but never told me of it until I chanced on it. I will kill this man. “oh sorry ma. I wish you take a test yourself first and see if you are safe.” the nurse suggested. The test was done and the result was negative. The good news too was that my aunty was also confirmed pregnant. Wow! The irony of life.

               FORGIVE

               Episode 7

My best result for the semester was  a C+ which was introduction to general nursing course. The rest ranged from referrals to C. I felt very bad. The reason was I didn’t have time to go for lectures or even study. I was always hanging out with Afya who was making the grades. “No, I can’t continue with these results. I’m no longer a virgin and besides if I should get pregnant, I will give it to Dennis since he needs me to get pregnant for him. I must go and see this lecturer tomorrow to manipulate my results at any cost.” I said to myself.
Afya and my sugar daddy were also Busy in the guest house doing their own thing. It was the same club he used to send me when I was with them in the house. When they reached, Mr. Dennis felt like taking her bath before any other thing starts. They did kissed each other anyway. He requested that Afya joins him in the bath but she told him, she took her bath just before coming so she need not to join him. As Mr. Dennis left to the bath, Afya tried to open his bag to steal his money but very unfortunate on Afya’s part, the bag was locked with code. She felt very bad within herself. “this man is very lucky.” she said to herself.
Soon Mr. Dennis came out of the bath in his boxers. “Wow! Sir, you’ve got heavy loads in front of you. I’m even feeling feverish.” Afya jokenly said. “hahaha you should be a bad girl.” he laughed. Afya walked towards him and started with the foreplay. They both became very high in the mood and in the middle of that mood just as it happened to me at my hostel, Afya slowly pushed Mr. Dennis away and said “sir wait.. wait… wait. You know you didn’t propose to me and we haven’t known each other too well.” “Oh my dear, unlike poles always attract and positive and negative terminals always generate power. I don’t think I need to do any special proposals here. You are beautiful and I know you are equally smart. Don’t let this my energy quench.” he said and resumed the kisses. “I want something from you. Once you promise to give me that, I will be ready to satisfy you 24/7.” Afya said. “And what will that be that I can’t do, dear say anything.” he said as the romance kept  increasing. “I’ve always been walking long distance to campus for my lectures and as a girlfriend to a high profile man like you, it wouldn’t speak well of you if I continue to walk. I need a car.” She said  and picked out a condom from her purse. “give me your answer and resume with this.” she said showing the condom.  “Come on girl, I’m pure and has no dirt in my blood. I don’t think I need this. When will be your birthday?” he asked. “11th of August which is just some few weeks from now.” Afya revealed. “OK, I will surprise you on that day. Make sure you don’t tell your friend.” “Nooo, I need a promise now if not allow me to leave. We will continue when my car is ready.” she said. “OK deal. You will get your car on your birthday.” he promised.
Back at Mr. Dennis house, my aunty resorted to prayers and was praying to God to restore her womb so that she could get pregnant to have peace in the house. She also committed her husband into God’s hands and said “wherever my husband is at this time of the night, Holy ghost keep him away from any distractions of the devil and bring him back home to me safely.” I was equally missing him that evening because I had try all his lines and they were all switched off.
“Really! You mean I will have my own car on my birthday? Wow! Thank you honey, you are the best. You can have me all to yourself.” Afya said with joy written all over her face. Mr. Dennis reiterated his promise. The romance continued, now all huddles have been removed so the game itself was ready to play. Mr. Dennis skillfully removed the coverage on Afya’s watermelon and threw it to no mans land. Ooh! the worse happened. It happened skin to skin. Afya gave out her best ever to Mr. Dennis that night. They both got tired and slept off and woke up midnight where Mr. Dennis told her that he needed to get going because his wife would be worried. “Your wife? But you didn’t tell me you have a wife.” she asked. “Don’t worry about that. I know how to handle it.” Mr. Dennis said and gave about Ghc 600.00 to her to use for transportation early in the morning. He left Afya behind in the guest house.
By the time Mr. Dennis got home, my aunt was far asleep but upon arrival of Dennis, she woke up and welcomed him. She never complained why he was late but rather, went to prepare hot coffee for him to take. Dennis went to take his bath again before coming for the coffee. In order not to create any scene, he made love with my aunty that same night. This man was really strong. That was one thing I can’t forget about him. Mr. Dennis didn’t go to work the following day because he was very tired and needed enough rest. My aunty told him that she is need of additional money to buy stock for her shop so he should give her some money to top up the money she has.

Dennis said due to their building project, everything he has has gone into it, so he was not having enough money to give her. My aunt understood him because she knew the cost of the project they are putting up and besides, the documents were in her name. Dennis never gave his wife the money.
Since then, he never came to visit me. We resorted to only talking on phone and not even for long but for brief moments. Afya was also not coming to me as usual. She has one guy who actually promised to marry her after school because they were both students.
I gathered courage and went to one of our senior lecturers and complained to him about my results. Lol. I sent myself for insults. This man insulted me very well and threw me out of his office. He said I shouldn’t see him as one of those lecturers that I can easily influence to get what I want. He said I should better sit up and study. I felt very frustrated. I called Afya and reported the issue to her. She said I shouldn’t worry, she will get me someone who can do everything for me. Indeed she connected me to another lecturer who works at the students records. What he does is that, when lectures present their results to be loaded on the students records, he will manipulate the results before keying. I met with this man and he promised to help me the following semester since the one posted has been closed for any defence. He also requested for sex. I just don’t know why men can do unthinkable things just for sex. I opened up and warmed his bed as well. It seems I enjoyed him anyway. This man became very close to me so even with the distance between Dennis and I was not really disturbing me.
Soon, Afya’s birthday was due and just as planned, she never mentioned it to me. She invited other friends of hers to some club outside town for the party. His serious boyfriend, Gilbert called her line the whole day just to wish her but her phone was off. Surprisingly, Mr. Dennis came with his car and another BMW to the venue. The promise was fulfilled. Mr. Dennis handed over the keys of the BMW car to Afya as the birthday present. I guess that was the happiest day of her life. They spent the whole night at the club and  had more skin to skin sex without protection.

But something tragic happened!

Guess you want to know what happened, well I will tell you that in the next episode.

               FORGIVE

               Episode 6

I made up my mind to personally ensure that my aunty packs out of the house for me. But do you know I was never thinking of sexually transmitted diseases as I was only concerned with what I was gaining?

I called Afya to my hostel one evening and told her about my intentions of making my aunt’s husband send my aunt packing. “I can see something is wrong with your head. What is the meaning of this? Look, you are not there to snatch your aunt’s man from her, instead you are only playing the role of a side chick to this man and that’s all. What is his name self?” Afya asked. “He is Mr. Dennis.” I answered. “okay, so now am telling you that you are only the side chick of Mr. Dennis. Give him what he wants as he also in turn provides all you need in this life.”

“but Afya, his main concern is about having a child. The last time I told him about he building a house for me, he promised that as soon as I get pregnant for him, he will change the name on the documents of a land he bought somewhere for a building project for his wife into my name so I shouldn’t worry.” I said to her. “really, this girl is very lucky. That sounds good to hear. Which bank did you say he works for? ” she asked. “Agriculture Development Bank ADB Madina branch.  He is the manager over there.” I said innocently. “Wow then this man should be a very big fish. OK I will get going, take care.” she said, as she picked her bag and left the room. I laid on my bed and soon, I fell asleep.
Afya was monologuing as she was walking to pick a car home. “This lady must be very lucky, I think these men are making a fool out of me. Upon all the satisfaction I’ve been giving them none of them has promised to even buy me a car before,  even to talk of building a whole house. Wow! I must do something very fast. I think I must meet this man and grab this opportunity. Yes I need to. How can this small village girl bypass me like that.”
For almost three days, I never heard from Afya so I decided to call to check up on her. She said she was not feeling very well and moreover, she was working on her project work since she was in her final year. She said she would come and visit me in the evening. She shared some jokes and hanged up. Soon after that call, Mr. Dennis also called. He said he was on his way to see me and also to give me some provisions and besides, to enjoy from my honey pot.
He doesn’t show any much concern or care to his wife any longer. He leaves and comes home as and when it pleases him and if my aunt should complain, he would say he was occupied with office work. Anytime he was coming to my place, he does tell my aunt that he is going for a meeting on behalf of the bank. My aunt was always frustrated.

Soon my aunt’s husband; Mr. Dennis  arrived at my hostel.   I saw him through the louvers in my room and sent him a short text message reading “the door is not locked. Push and enter. I quickly changed into a very hot dress. I looked very hot and positioned myself on the bed for him to get the arousal immediately he enters. It was a single room self contained with a balcony. There he was. He was far older than me and could be my father but I do call him honey whenever he comes to my place. He saw me on the bed and just as expected, he fell for me. ” Baby girl, you are looking very vivacious and succulent. Can I have a hug from you?” he asked and got ready for the hug. I walked up to him for the hug and I don’t need to tell you what followed after the hug. Yes, what you are thinking happened and just in the middle of our doggy position, I heard this knock on the door. We didn’t mind. The knock persisted so I needed to shout who was there. It was Afya. Ah! This lady crushed my jet. I asked her to give me some time so I would open her shortly. Mr. Dennis was not happy with the interference likewise me. “Dear, these are some of the reasons why I came to rent this place for you alone. It is not to be shared with any other person except me. Let her in. ” He said as he dressed up and sat on the chair.
“Dear am sorry for keeping you waiting.  I was discussing something with my daddy that was why. ” I apologised to her. “Don’t worry. After all this is your place and you decide who to come in and at a time of your choice.” she said but looked very moody. She was equally dressed in a provocative manner. “Afya meet my aunt’s husband, dad, please this is my good friend. Her name is Afya.” I did the introduction.
Mr Dennis :Afya how are you?

Afya : (with a sexually looking face and voice) I’m fine dad. You are welcome.

Mr. Dennis : Thank you. Forgive you have a beautiful friend. You ladies should take your books serious.

Afya : Alright sir. Thank you for the compliment too.

Mr. Dennis : Forgive I must be going. I need to pass through a friends place before getting home so come, I got you some provisions. Maybe your friend can come and help you carry them from the car.

Afya : Oh dad are you leaving because am around?

Mr. Dennis: Not at all. Take this money and get yourself some chocolate. He said handing her one Ghc 50.00 note which she thanked him. I took the lead outside for the items. Afya stopped behind me and asked Mr. Dennis for his number. He gave one of his complimentary cards to her. This happened really fast and at my blind side. We went to bring the things into the room. He gave me double what he gave to Afya and said he would send some through my account.
“Is that not your sugar daddy? ” Afya asked. “I wont mind you. You just came to spoil my beautiful moment. Who knows if today was the day I would have gotten pregnant for him and get that house in my name?” I queried her . “Look at how love dey jorm you? When I was advising you to give in to him, you saw me as a bad person. Now you are telling me I spoilt your evening. Heerr! My dear this man is serious oo that’s fine.” she said. “Hey I beg take him out of your list oo, that man is mine so stop doing that he is nice…. he is nice thing here. I know you.” I warned. “I beg let me think. I get correct mugus okay, don’t bring this under one minute Ghc 50.00 man to bluff on me.”
We had few chats and she later left to her place. I missed Dennis a lot after Afya left. On her way, Afya dialled Dennis’ number and asked him to save her contact.
The following day, Mr. Dennis received an SMS alert informing him about a new email. He opened his mail and saw pictures of Afya dressed in bikinis at a pool side. She added a note saying “If you like what you are seeing on your screen, arrange a venue for it this evening, all will be yours. Thank you for your gift and compliment yesterday. Afya.” Mr. Dennis couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the pictures.  He replied the mail. “Nice pictures Afya, come around my office by 6pm this evening.” In no time, she replied “Deal.”
Mr. Dennis called my aunt that evening and told her he will be going to Tema after work so he might come home late. He called me too and said he would be going for meeting that evening so he wouldn’t want his phone disturb so I shouldn’t call.

All these while, Afya was on anti retroviral drugs. She tested HIV positive and was just spreading it to men she sleeps with. One thing I would like to advice my fellow girls and ladies is that, we should always insist on protection if you think you cannot abstain. Condoms are not just for birth control but also to reduce the rate at which you can get infected with STI’s. Note that there is no cure for HIV. However, if you are already tested positive, don’t worry, you are not alone. There are many people living with the condition for years but you cannot see it on them. Just take your ART’s serious just as Afya. She always takes her drugs as expected so for years with the condition, you will never know.
At the set time, Afya was already at the bank waiting for Mr. Dennis to come out and meet her. She sent a text message that she was at the point. Mr. Dennis delegated what he was doing to his secretary and came to meet Afya who was looking more hot in her outfit.
In the car

“Afya is your friend aware you are meeting me today?” Dennis asked. “No sir. I am of age and I need not let my friend know every move I make. But why did you ask? I believe you are her father to say?” She asked. “Oh yeah, I am her father.” As the man was driving, Afya started seducing him in the car. They nearly got involved in an accident.
One of my course mates called me that evening to inform me that our results for the previous semester was posted on the notice board. I didn’t want to go during broad daylight so I went there that very evening to check. My best result was a C+ which was introduction to general nursing course. The rest ranged from referrals to C. I felt very bad. The reason was I don’t have time to go for lecturers or even study. I was always hanging out with Afya who was making the grades. “No, I can’t continue with these results. I’m no longer a virgin and besides if I should get pregnant, I will give it to Dennis since he needs my pregnancy. I must go and see this lecturer tomorrow to manipulate my results at any cost.” I said to myself.

Afya and my sugar daddy were also busy in the guest house doing their own thing. hmm

FORGIVE episode 5

               FORGIVE

               Episode 5
Afya was studying a distance program from the university so she equally advised me to continue my education. She bought me gifts and dresses. My aunt didn’t believe it was my friend who was providing those things for me. To her, I was stealing her money so her behaviour changed towards me. There was nothing that I would do that wouldn’t attract insults. I began feeling pity for myself. The unfortunate part of it was that my aunt had no child so her husband also liked me a lot. Her husband affectionately refers to as ‘Forgee’. This also added to the reasons why my aunt changed towards me. She seeing how beautiful I was growing up into and how *attractive* I was to her husband, she saw me as a threat to her marriage. Madam’s thoughts were not too wrong anyway. Upon all the advises this man do give me on how to keep myself away from men, he was equally having *lusting after* me. My aunt’s husband was a banker, a well known banker of course.
I started noticing his interest in me from how his chats with me had *changed*. Now the line of conversation was directed towards me being beautiful, me not having a boyfriend and what type of man I wanted to be with. As innocent as I was, I told him about my past life and how I hate men. He tried exemplifying himself to me and trying to get my attention towards him. He brought up the issue of his wife not giving birth but still loves her.
jonezseries.wordpress.com
One day after church, I told Afya what I was suspecting where my aunt’s husband’s comments is leading to. “Wow! My girl don’t get selection. That sounds so interesting to hear. ” Afya said laughing. “ah! but why the laughter? I’m telling you something serious and you are laughing.” I said. “Very sorry dear, my bad. Hmm has he made the move already?” she asked. “Not really but his actions are showing it.” I answered. “alright dear. Look Forgive, I won’t like you to do anything to spoil your aunt’s marriage but for crying out loud, this man is too good to be married to a woman who can’t give birth. Probably he wants you to give birth for him since his wife is not forthcoming.” she said. “but what do you mean by that? You mean I should give him the chance in case he comes clear?” “something like that but I am foreseeing your aunty standing against you when it starts.” “Afya I don’t think this is a good idea. I can’t do that.” I said sounding very straight forward. “Yoo, madam virgin Mary. Look, this man has money and will change your life within a second if you should give him the go ahead. If you don’t like I beg, link me up.” she teased. I was surprised as to why she should be saying all this anyway,  so I took her for a joke.
It got to a time when my aunt travelled to our village, Agorkpo and was to return the following day. After closing the shop, I went home to cook her my aunt’s husband. He came back from work very early that day. I was in the kitchen cooking when he came. He came into the kitchen to greet me and asked how the day went at the shop. I told him everything went well. I was preparing jollof rice so I was *stirring* it when I felt him walking into the kitchen. *He stood behind me and held me*. I had that electric shock from his hands and turned around immediately and looked at his face. He was in his singlet with hairy chest glaring into my face. “oh dad you scared me! ” I said. “I didn’t mean to scare you. In fact I can’t just withstand your beauty.” I could feel he was rubbing his hands on the beads on my waist. “Dad can you please stop it? I’m not comfortable with what you are doing.” I pleaded. “dear, I will take you to where ever you want to, I will upgrade you to become a classic lady if only you can read what is moving inside of me right now.” he said as his hands started holding my boobs. I remained silent this time around. He brought me very close to himself and holding me tight to his body. “Forgive you are so beautiful. I love you.”  I was still silent when he started kissing me. I  got lost in the mood and joined in. His hands went to every aspect of my body that you could just imagine. My moaning was becoming loud this time around when he *tore* my buttons and went to my erogenous zones. The man was just doing the right thing so I never wished we stopped before the burning jollof smoke took over the whole kitchen. We both forgot the rice was still on the fire. “the rice is burning.” I said with a moaning voice. Everything was happening in the kitchen. He rushed and turned off the gas stove. The rice was completely burnt. “Don’t worry I will take to you to a restaurant in town this evening so that we get something to eat but quickly fix something for the gardener to eat.” he said and went to take his bath. This man has ignited  my sex addiction again. I was feeling *horny* as he left me to take his bath. I prepared plain rice with some small stew for the gardener and also went to get myself ready for the outing.
Soon, we were out to the restaurant. He bought me hard drinks and pizza. As we were sitting, I saw that Afya was also moving into the restaurant with another man who could be her father. Very unfortunately, they came to sit by a table near to ours. With surprise, Afya saw me and covered her mouth. The man she came with was a lecturer at the university. The two men *also* knew each other, so they had some few chats as well. I felt shy because Afya had seen me there but I was equally surprised seeing her moving with that lecturer.

I took the place of my aunty that night. I slept on her bed, with her husband giving me warmth throughout the night. I really enjoyed that night.

The following day, I felt very refreshed and arranged everything in its place before my aunty returned. She came to me at the shop and asked how things were in her absence. “I believe you didn’t *starve* my husband yesterday?” she asked. “No mum.” I replied. She went to inspect everything in the house and very unfortunate, she saw the burnt saucepan. When I closed from shop, she asked me to explain to her why the saucepan got burnt. I lied that her husband sent me to get him some fruits from the night market and by the time I returned, the food got burnt. She asked me to kneel down and fortunately for me her husband returned and told my aunt that it was his fault so she should allow me stand. As time went on, I *began* having *a* secret affair with this man in the house without my *aunt’s knowledge* Her husband always defends me anytime she wanted to punish me. This was gradually eating into their marriage.
I told Afya about how everything *happening* and she said that was not bad, she adviced I shouldn’t just be enjoying myself but I should make the man build properties for me. She said very soon she would be moving into her own house sponsored by the lecturer. I saw a very good point in her suggestion so I tried to give it a try.
First, I told my aunt’s husband that I needed to go to school. She asked me which school  I wanted and I mentioned University of Ghana and to read Nursing. He said that was not a problem so I should let him know when the university forms are out. He also discussed with his wife that he wanted me to go to school since I was eventually becoming their daughter. That didn’t  sound well for her so she debated it *for a long time* with her husband. “what exactly are you seeing in this girl that you want to sponsor her university education? After that she would get married and go into her husband’s house. If she was a male, fine but I don’t agree to this. Maybe let her learn trade just as her sister did and now taking care of herself.” “No, you are getting it all wrong. Have you forgotten that when you educate man, you educate just one person but if you educate a woman, you educate a whole nation? Don’t forget she is your family member and the credit will go to you for sponsoring your sister’s daughter’s education. Think of that.” he said and went to bed.
Soon, forms were out and I bought one. Afya said she would link me up to someone at the admission office so that I get straight admission without depending on my faith to be called. She led me to see one lecturer and the deal was just one night with him and my admission is assured. I picked my admission form and went out of the office when he came up with that condition.
I came out to tell Afya about it and she said that was not anything to come and tell her. “why are you behaving like you are still in that your village? We are in the city and you must use what you have to get what you want. Do you think it was my wish to be going out with that professor you saw me with at the restaurant? That is the exams officer of my department, and through that outing, all my C grades changed into B and B+ and the B’s became automatic A’s. Look sharp baby girl. Remember your aunt is not in support of this so if you fail to make it, she will accuse you of wasting her husband’s money. Just a night won’t spoil anything. Just let him use a condom.” she said. “Ah! Afya, you are always surprising me. How could you be giving me such an *advice?* You were the same person that made me to enter into this with my aunt’s husband and now this.

Tell me,  what have you been hearing from church? ” I asked.

“Hey! My friend end it there. Do you know what goes into church? The church is a place we go to ask God for more grace periods to achieve what we need in this world? Also it is a place the pastor prays for you to get rich through whatever means and in case you have some program or something like that, they will come to support you for everyone to know that you belong to some union. That is why we go to church. We are in a modern world and the meaning of everything has changed. Even the pastor is enjoying himself how much more you? ” she said. “oh really? So that is why you go to church. I now know. I got polluted with that definition of church and this also changed my behaviour. I now saw all what I was doing as normal because even at church, the pastor only preaches prosperity to us.
I accepted the lecturer’s offer later and my admission was processed. After gaining the admission, my next request from my aunt’s husband was a house. I asked him to divorce my aunt and marry me because I was now seeing my aunt who was the rightful owner of the house to be a thorn in my flesh. I no longer *respected* her when I *started* the school. Her husband got me a hostel on campus where I was in the room alone. He actually furnished the room for me. Now my next problem was how to make my grades. Yes I was good when I was in basic school but not when I got to the university. I needed to get my link to the big men and the students records room so that my results could be manipulated.
Come to think of it, upon all my unprotected sex with my aunt’s husband and the lecturer, pregnancy never came. I was not bothered about that anyway because that would even block me from many things.
I made up my mind to personally make my aunty pack out of the house for me. But do you know I was never thinking of sexually transmitted diseases? hmm let’s go to the next episode.
